Southbridge Youth Soccer Association Scholarship -
2011
Qualifications:
This scholarship is open to any graduating senior that
played with and/or worked with the Southbridge Youth Soccer Program. Preference
will be given to students that have demonstrated the values and objectives that
are stated in the by-laws of our Youth Program.
Objectives of Southbridge Youth Soccer
Association
To promote the sport of soccer on
an amateur level in the town of Southbridge. To teach fair play, sportsmanship,
and fundamental soccer skills in a disciplined and organized manner. To provide
for the fair and equal treatment of all youth that participate in the program
regardless of their ability. To provide the highest soccer experience for all
participants in the Southbridge Youth Soccer Association program.

The following three questions are designed to give us a feel for how our Soccer program has helped you as well as how you have helped our program. Please on a separate page, answer the following questions for us. They do not need to be long, just descriptive.
1. Please describe your entire soccer experience for us. Go through the year you were in Youth Soccer, the different teams you were on and how many years you continued to play. Please include any other soccer teams that you played for besides Southbridge Youth Soccer. Include any efforts that you gave back to our program by way of teaching younger players, or anything that you did to further the program.
2. Please describe, in a brief statement, how our scholarship would help you to be able to attend the school that you will be attending.
3. After reading the mission and values of Southbridge Youth Soccer, that are written down on the front of this application; write an essay describing now your experience with Southbridge Youth Soccer is an example of these values and our mission.
