How much of a commitment is SYSA soccer?

  • Players/parents are expected to attend practices and games on a regular basis.

  • Give my best effort at all training and matches.
  • Not be critical of my teammates or discuss my teammates' abilities in a negative manner.
  • Not use foul language or profanity towards officials, coaches, teammates, or opponents.
  • Listen to and follow directions given to me by the coach.

  • Understand that as a competitive player I may not receive equal playing time and I will not complain to the coach about this.
  • Arrive on time and be stretched ready to play at all training sessions and matches.
  • Not use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
  • Treat my coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect at all times.
